PTSD

Treatment for PTSD in the DFW Metroplex
At Texas Mind Science, we proudly support patients living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at our offices in Richardson, Flower Mound, and throughout the DFW Metroplex. PTSD can deeply affect your ability to sleep, work, focus, and enjoy life—but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
If traditional treatments like medication or talk therapy haven’t worked for you, our team offers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)—a non-invasive, drug-free therapy proven to reduce PTSD symptoms. Using the advanced CloudTMS™ system, we target specific areas of the brain affected by trauma to promote healing and relief.
Schedule a consultation online or contact one of our offices to find out if TMS may be the solution you’ve been searching for.

- Feeling Hypersensitive
- Being Easily Startled
- Feeling Edgy or Angry
- Avoiding People and Places Reminding You of the Event

- Have Dreams or Flashbacks About the Event (Intense Anxiety May Accompany Them)
- Having Difficulty Remembering Details About the Event
How Texas Mind Science Treats PTSD
Many people start their PTSD recovery journey with therapy or medication—both of which can be helpful. However, for some, these treatments alone aren’t enough. That’s where TMS therapy comes in. This safe, FDA-cleared treatment uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain that may be underactive due to trauma. By restoring healthier brain activity, TMS can help reduce symptoms like flashbacks, anxiety, sleep issues, and mood changes—without the side effects of medication. Our experienced team will create a care plan tailored to your unique history and symptoms.

What to Expect During TMS Therapy
Your first session begins in a comfortable, quiet treatment chair. A provider gently positions the CloudTMS™ coil near your head, precisely targeting the brain area linked to PTSD symptoms. You’ll hear soft clicking sounds and may feel light tapping on your scalp as the coil sends gentle magnetic pulses through your skull. Sessions are painless, last about 20 to 40 minutes, and require no anesthesia or recovery time—you can resume your daily activities right after.
Most patients receive five sessions per week for 4–6 weeks, though we’ll personalize your schedule to best meet your needs. TMS is well-tolerated and does not cause systemic side effects like fatigue or grogginess.
